Metro Station Baixa-Chiado is a unique and impressive subway, opened in 1998, created by architect Álvaro Siza Vieira.

Beautiful white tiles are covering the station walls. This metro station has an entrance in the city centre as well as one at a much higher level in the Chiado district, linked by a series of escalators.
