Meco village (Aldeio do Meco): small holiday cottages for rent from € 35 per night
In Meco village (Aldeio do Meco), 2 small cottages (also rooms inside the house) are for rent, located in the garden. The house belongs to the very friendly couple Maria José and Nuno. The self-catering cottages are rather small but very clean, including a fully-equipped kitchen, shower and, very important, good beds.
In the big garden behind the house you have a lot of privacy. Price per cottage (for 2 persons) € 35 per night. July and August € 45 per night, linen and towels included.

Aldeio do Meco is a small rural village, about 1 km away from the fabulous and famous sandy beaches and ca. 40 km from Lisbon. More info on this site. In Meco village you can find a few trendy bars (try a caiparinha!) and a number of restaurants offering the best local gastronomy, in particular seafood and fish dishes. If you like grilling by yourself there’s a big BBQ in the garden.
The nearby village of Alfarim has a small local farmers market at the weekend which sells a variety of fresh vegetables from the region. Public bus service from Alfarim to the beach is available .
